Technicolour DreamCoat
Joseph's technicolour dream coat is the inspiration for this collection.
One focus of inspiration is the coats vibrant colors. I created pieces of art that use bold, bright colors in a similar way to the coat. I combined different colors to create a dynamic, eye-catching composition.
Another focus of inspiration is the coat’s texture. The coat is often depicted as being made of many different pieces of fabric sewn together, which created an interesting texture. I experimented with layering different materials in my art to create a similar effect.
Additionally, the story of Joseph and his coat is a great inspiration for this collection.
The story of Joseph is a tale of rise and fall, ultimately leading to redemption and triumph. Joseph was the favorite son of his father, Jacob, and was given a special coat that represented his favored status.
Despite his difficult circumstances, Joseph rose to prominence in Egypt, thanks to his ability to interpret dreams.
In prison, Joseph continued to use his gift of interpreting dreams, and he correctly interpreted the dreams of two fellow prisoners. One of these prisoners was the chief cupbearer to Pharaoh, who eventually remembered Joseph when Pharaoh had a troubling dream that no one could interpret.
The story of Joseph is a powerful tale of perseverance, it reminds us that even in times of great adversity, it is possible to rise to the top through hard work, faith, and perseverance.
